Your people, all in one cozy place.
Homestead collects links to the people you care about across many social apps and shows you one calm feed. When an app keeps its feed closed, Homestead suggests you go and visit instead.
What Homestead does
Grandma posts on LINE. Your cousin lives on Douyin. Your friend moved to Bluesky.
Keeping up means opening nine apps, each built to keep you scrolling. Homestead is one warm, quiet place that answers a simple question: what are my people up to? It shows what it can, it ends when you're caught up, and it's honest about what it can't see.
It runs on your own server (a home computer, a NAS or a Raspberry Pi) with one Docker container. Your household's data stays there. There's no telemetry and no analytics.

Ways Homestead keeps you close
Everything here comes from the app's specification. Anything not yet merged is marked.

A look inside
Calm screens, faces first
How it works
- 1
Run it at home
Start one Docker container on a home server, NAS or Raspberry Pi, then finish setup in your browser.
- 2
Paste your people
Paste profile links, share-sheet messages or @handles. Homestead finds the platform and the person.
- 3
Read one calm feed
Stories and posts from Bluesky, Truth Social and X arrive on their own; agents can fetch the rest.
- 4
Go and say hello
For LINE, WeChat and quiet friends, a hearth pick suggests a visit and opens their app in one tap.

Built in the open

Homestead hasn't had its first release. It's MIT-licensed and developed in public, task by task, by AI agents and people working in parallel, with every change reviewed before it lands on main.
46 of 63 planned tasks are merged. Each milestone has a clear exit check:
- M0 Contracts10/10
- M1 Core16/16
- M2 Feed6/8
- M3 Agents3/5
- M4 Sharing3/4
